PROJECT: Memphis International Airport Ground Transportation Center
To accommodate current needs and allow for future growth, The Memphis International Airport decided to expand its parking garage. The project consisted of a seven-level structure for vehicular circulation and three open stair towers for pedestrian circulation. The entire structure is screened by an airfoil shaped panel which offers a clean modern appearance to the facade.
Regardless of how far or fast imaging technology advances to improve quality, there will always be two basic ingredients necessary to achieve substance in any image; composition and light. Once a composition is established, the essence of the entire experience hinges on the light. The ability to see, create and control light, consistently carving three-dimensional experiences from a two dimensional medium, remains the true measure of any photographer.
