PROJECT: National Ornamental Metal Museum
Here you see the complete Renovation of an historic 1883 marine hospital into, what is now, the Library of the Memphis National Ornamental Metal Museum. Consisting of four buildings overlooking the Mississippi River south of downtown Memphis, the structures were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.The project includes a residence housing visiting artists, a museum, and library. Unlike ordinary museums, it isn’t just a place where art is displayed; it’s a place where art is made.
I take great pleasure in visually preserving the art of historic architecture. It fulfills my passions for the art of the subject and creating timeless visual experiences.
