PROJECT: Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law
Located in Memphis, Tennessee, this historic edifice stands proudly along the banks of the Mississippi River. Over it’s 125+ years in existence the building has been used as a Customs House, Court House and Post Office and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. It is now the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law.
My passion for visually preserving historic architecture runs deep, so when given the opportunity to interpret this Italianate Revival-style structure my creative senses began to tingle. At the time of its completion in 1885 this structure was considered to be one of the most beautiful buildings in the South; I believe it still is.
